Coda is a powerful text editor designed with built-in support for working with both local and remote files. It makes sense to take something that was designed for OSX and open it up to Windows. It's why framerates from the same cards on OSX and Windows are widely different as well. I'm a CAD designer with Electrical and Computer engineering background, and OSX has limited hardware access compared to Windows when it comes to rendering. Since there are multiple CAD formats and different ways of doing things, there is a lot more access needed. Photoshop is about editing, you don't really mess with the core file structure.
